The Nike Soccer team was producing some of the most exciting product visually. I wanted to take the form language of their cleats and apply it to a men’s and women’s group of sandals and short heels. The women’s had a molded upper strap with a rigid plate co-molded with rubber grip pads. The footbed was soft anti-microbial suede with perforations and padding for grip and comfort. The men’s sandal utilized much of the same detailing, but had a phylon cushioned midsole and a more utility inspired slide upper with metal buckle detailing.
