Rocket Dog had hired a new President. He reached out to me and asked if I could help with some new vulcanized styles. A lot of what the brand had been known for doing in vulcanized sneakers was very low profile. It seemed like a good opportunity to take advantage of the chunky sneaker trends for women and refresh the brand’s look. I also wanted to play with things like transparency to give the shoes dimension, and prints/embellishments to make them feel more seasonally fashionable.
